danhacker: First Look: David Morrissey as “The Governor” From AMC’s ‘The Walking Dead’ TVGuide (proving that they still exist) has unveiled the first image of David Morrissey as The Governor. It’s interesting that AMC has up until now gone out of their way to have the actors look like their corresponding comic book characters that they play on screen, but David Morrissey doesn’t look anything like the comic version of The Governor. He’s lacking the long hair douchey mustache. Having him look more civilized does make him more of a threat since it will have characters off their guard giving him the chance to fuck everything up. The Governor is bad news. “The Walking Dead” returns for its 16-episode third season in October.
