“As we grow from childhood into youth, anxiety grows exponentially, and we worry about how on earth we should live our lives. Our anxiety forces us to look for an antidote that will rid us of this feeling as quickly as possible. We want to find something that will help us grab our own chair in this world and sit in it.”—Hayao Miyazaki (via hayao-miyazaki)
Just got back from Borders (they give me so many coupons! I can’t help going there, I so love B&N… But COUPONS!).
I bought Stargirl. I know I read some if it a decade ago, but I guess I just wasn’t ready for it then. But, Danielle has been telling me how good it is and how much she’s enjoyed it! So, I thought it was time to give it another go!
I also got a new manga, I’m still reading Scott Pilgrim, and Naussica, but I found this new one that is so happy go lucky, funny, and feel good! It’s about a little girl moving to a new place in Japan! The little girl is odd, quirky and so happy. It’s cute, and reminds me of My Neighbor Totoro.
It feels so weird not wearing my engagement ring! I took it to my favorite jewelers to get it all cleaned up, polished, the stones tightened, so that it’s all pretty for the big day! I wanted it to be shiny along with my wedding band. But, they’re closed Sunday and Monday so I won’t get it until Wednesday! I haven’t gone a day without wearing it since I put it on over two years ago! My finger feels naked and weird!
