2011 is going to be a very big year, for me and my family! I’m going to get a job, James is going to finally receive permanent residency and also get a job. We’re going to get our own place and have our new life. My brother is going to graduate from dental school. My mom is going to retire. My whole family is going to travel to England (first time my Mom and Dad have gone across the ocean), and James and I are going to have a second Wedding there. Hopefully we’ll have enough money by then to do a little honeymoon somewhere in Europe. I’m going to do a 50 book challenge. James is going to give me some guitar lessons. I’m going to write, I want to finish a novella. James is going to finish the novel he’s more than half way done with. I’m going to look into JET and see how/when James and I can do it together. I’m also going to look into what kind of Masters I want, and if I can do it in London.
Happy New Year! You guys have been lovely, now let’s stick together for the new year =]
My Mom and I are going to her best friend’s place for a brunch! I thought it was really nice of her friend to invite me. She helped out a lot for the wedding, I guess she’s considering me an adult now? Inviting me to her girls brunch thing.
Either way I’m excited, it’s going to be a nice time! Afterward Mom and I are going to a really nice antique store, here I come nice vintage pieces for etsy! It’s a bit hard to justify buying things when I have no money or no job, but I want to purchase these things in order to sell them for more money!
Oh life, hand me a career and let me do fun things as well, please?
I’m having a hard time getting ahold of the woman at the art shop. I want to get my plushies back so I can sell them etsy! I am SO ready to get it going! If I’m right, I have sold at least $75 worth of plushies this holiday season.
It’s motivating and encouraging to think of that. Plus, I’m excited about finding nice vintage things as well.
First things first though, getting my plushies and money from the art shop. They’re closed for the rest of winter, so my stuff is just sitting there!
I shall pic spam with how wonderfully spoiled I am. I’m going to show lots of the lovely cute amazing fantastic things I got for Christmas! I am just so excited about it all! I know I know, it’s childish. But, I just feel so loved from all the nice things I got! And, now I will show you all how spoiled I am, later =]. Prepare yourself.
To see when I’ll get my check. I know it’s Christmas Eve, we generally don’t go out on Christmas Eve. But, my mom and I went to this store because I FINALLY showed James my one set of vintage milk glass Christmas plates, and this place had a set of 5 (bowls, salad plate, dinner plate, cup and saucer) for $20! When we got there, it was gone. It had been there for months and NOW it’s gone. I was quite disappointed (I turned the trip into a good thing by figuring out I want to sell vintage pieces!).
Anyway! On the way home Mom thought we should stop at the art gallery to ask why I haven’t received a check yet. I hate going to ask about money, but I do deserve to know how it works! The art director wasn’t there and I talked to a volunteer. She wasn’t really helpful, I’m going to have to call the director during the week. See if I can pick up my check and the rest of my plushies, put them on etsy (I am fully aware I keep saying I’m going to put things on etsy and have NOT done so, for months on end. I promise, at some point I will have things on etsy, and it will be wonderful).
Speaking of my plushies! The main point of this post was to say I sold more! I sold 5 more plushies! In total I was able to sell 5 large owl plushies and 5 small hanging owl plushies! I’m pretty happy about that! I think 10 in two months is pretty nice, I feel good about my work and it’s encouraging to keep going!
I am going to sell really nice glass vintage things on my etsy account, along with my plushies! I keep finding the most adorable things that I would love to have, but won’t buy because I like them but don’t think my husband would. Also I don’t need endless of the same kinds of things.
Anyway, I have been finding these really cute pyrex/fire king esque plate sets, sandwich sets, cups and the like, from the 50’s-60s! I came up with the perfect solution for being able to have fun looking around for these great pieces at great prices, and buy them!
I am going to sell them! I’ll have a cute vintage and plushie etsy!
I’m sort of excited. I am going to start finding good deals after Christmas, and only buy a few things to start off, see how it goes. I know it won’t be easy to ship the glass, and I’m only going to do it in the US.
